Business Breakfast 07/02/23 Booker

Yesterday saw the first BID Business Breakfast of 2023 held at Booker where around 20 attendees enjoyed a complimentary light breakfast. Alan Johnson, the Stakehill BID Manager, gave a brief on the BID’s current 3 objectives and what projects and future projects would be taking place on Stakehill.

Rachel Greenwood and Steven Pollitt from Employment Links Partnership (ELP) followed on and spoke about how ELP can support the businesses on Stakehill with free recruitment support and mentorship for all participants. Jake Croxton from Seetec was the next speaker who spoke about the 17 different courses within transport and logistics that they can provide with all courses being accredited at Level 3. Seetec also offer short courses to develop a range of skills focusing on key areas of

  • Leadership in logistics
  • Traffic office and transport planning
  • Warehouse management

These courses offer the employee continuous professional development and employer staff retention with increased employee engagement and the ability for the company to succession plan. Following the briefs there was the opportunity to network and build relationships with other businesses who attended.
