Stakehill, 19th March 2024: In a remarkable display of community engagement and corporate collaboration, Stakehill Business Improvement District (BID) recently partnered with logistics giants Howard Tenens and CEVA Logistics for the Great British Spring Clean initiative. The event saw eight dedicated volunteers from Stakehill BID rallying together to tackle litter in the local area, resulting in the collection of over 20 bags of rubbish.

The Great British Spring Clean is a nationwide campaign aimed at bringing communities together to clean up and take pride in their surroundings. Stakehill BID’s involvement in this initiative underscores its commitment to fostering a clean, safe, and vibrant environment for residents and businesses alike.

The success of this endeavor would not have been possible without the generous support and active participation of Howard Tenens and CEVA Logistics. Both companies played a pivotal role in providing volunteer manpower to ensure the smooth execution of the clean-up efforts.

“We are immensely grateful to Howard Tenens and CEVA Logistics for their invaluable partnership in making the Great British Spring Clean a resounding success,” said Alan Johnson, BID Manager at Stakehill BID. “Their unwavering commitment to corporate responsibility and community engagement truly embodies the spirit of collaboration and collective action.”

The collaborative effort resulted in a significant reduction in litter across Stakehill, contributing to a cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing environment for all. Beyond the immediate impact on the local area, the event served as a testament to the power of partnerships between businesses and community organisations in driving positive change.
