Hi my name is Julie Scott and I am the Operations Support Manager at Toolstation Distribution Centre on Stakehill. Toolstation is one of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe. We’re one of Britain’s best-known multi-channel retailer of tools, accessories and building supplies. Stakehill is one of four distribution centres that service over 500 branches throughout the UK.
I have been with the business for 2 and a half years, starting as picking team leader. I have been in my current role for 18 months and my main responsibilities include Health and Safety, and facilities lead on site.
Why are you a BID board director/why do you volunteer your time for the local business community?
I wanted to join the BID as a Director to make a positive impact on the estate. There is no point complaining and then doing nothing. The Board want to engage with local businesses to ensure that the funds generated are spent in the right way on projects that will benefit the businesses and employees on Stakehill. We hope that by engaging with other businesses we can encourage more individuals to join the team.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Hobbies include reading, cooking, and listening to live music.
